Bangladeshi held with 9 lakh rupee in Benapole

The Border Guard Bangladesh members have detained a Bangladeshi citizen along with around 9.26 lakh Indian rupees at Benapole checkpost in Jashore.

The detainee, M A Hannan Bhuiyan, 44, is a resident of Bazankara village under Chauddagram Police Station in Cumilla.

Jashore 49 BGB commanding officer Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Hasan Jamil said they conducted an anti-smuggling driver in the passenger terminal at Benapole checkpost on Wednesday evening and detained the man who came from India along with about 9.26 lakh Indian rupees.

Later, he was handed over to Benapolce Port Police Station, the official said.
