13 dengue patients hospitalized in 24 hrs

Thirteen people with dengue fever were hospitalized in the last 24 hours until Saturday morning.

Currently, a total of 42 patients diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals.

Of them, 17 are being treated at the facilities of Dhaka while 25 are in other divisions, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said today.  

As per the release, a total of 644 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year. 

In the past day, eight people died of dengue during the period while 594 out of the hospitalized patients recovered.
