Couple killed in Dhaka cylinder blast

A couple was killed in a gas cylinder explosion at Bhatara in capital Dhaka early Thursday.
The deceased were identified as Abdul Majid Shikder, 72, a resident of Bhatara 100 Feet Sitenagar area and his wife Taslima Begum, 48.
Bhatara Police Station officer in-charge Abul Bashar Mohammad Asaduzzaman told Jago News Abdul Majid suffered burn injuries as a gas cylinder exploded at his house around 5 am.
Taslima Begum also sustained burn injuries when she tried to save her husband, leaving both dead on the spot, he added.
Later, the bodies were sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital morgue.
