DC conference begins Tuesday

The annual conference of the deputy commissioners (DCs) will begin on Tuesday.
Prime minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the three-day conference in person at Shapla Hall of Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) at 10am.
Cabinet Secretary Md Mahbub Hossain said this at a press conference at the Secretariat on Sunday.
He said a total of 245 proposals have been received from DCs and Divisional Commissioners ahead of the conference.
Like previous year, the conference’s main venue is Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the capital.
However, the conference was not held in 2020 and 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
DCs’ conference is an annual meeting of the heads of districts with policymakers of the government.
