One dengue patient dies; 11 hospitalized in 24 hrs

One dengue patient died and 11 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours until Saturday morning.

With the latest death, a total of six people died of dengue to date this year, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said.

Currently, 74 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka. 

Of them, 37 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 37 are in other divisions.   

As many as 466 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.

Some 386 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
