One dengue patient hospitalized in 24 hrs

A person with dengue fever was hospitalized in the last 24 hours until Friday morning.

Currently, a total of 74 patients diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals.

Of them, 34 are being treated at the facilities of Dhaka while 40 are in other divisions, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said today.  

As per the release, a total of 455 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year. 

In the past day, five people died of dengue during the period while 376 out of the hospitalized patients recovered.
