Narayanganj minor killing: case filed, held 1

A case was filed against ten people for killing a 10-year-old boy allegedly by pumping air into his body through the anus at a Zobaida Textile Mill in Rupganj upazila on Sunday.

The victim Sagor Barman’s father Ratan Barman filed the case with Rupganj Police Station on Monday morning.

Confirming the matter, officer-in-charge of Rupganj Police Station Ismail Hosen said, in this connection police held one named Nazmul Hasan. The other accused in the case are run away.

Victim Sagar used to work at the factory where he was frequently abused and beaten up for faults. Sagar used to protest the torture.

His father alleged that his son was killed by pumping air through his rectum on Sunday as punishment over Sagar’s protesting behaviour in the past.
