Five get life in prison for killing DU student

A court in Dhaka on Thursday sentenced five people to life in prison for killing a student of Dhaka University.
The lifers are Babu, Babul alias China Babul, Tariqul Islam alias Millat, Khairul Bashar and Sumon alias Patla Sumon.
Dhaka's Special Session Judge Court-5 judge Iqbal Hossain pronounced the verdict.
The court also acquitted five other accused as they were found not guilty. Those acquitted are Sohel, Alam, Azharul Islam alias Parvez, Mamun and Uzzal.
The case statement said Monirul Islam Bipu, who studied in the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) faculty of DU and apart from studying, does business, was killed on July 26, 2004.
