49 hospitalized with dengue fever in 24 hrs

Some 49 people with dengue fever were admitted to different hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka in the last 24 hours until Wednesday morning.

With this, a total of 212 patients diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals.

Of them, 102 are being treated at the facilities of Dhaka while 110 are in other divisions, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said today.  

As per the release, a total of 176 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year. 

In the past day, no people died of dengue during the period while 36 out of the hospitalized patients recovered.
