Jiban Bima employee dies after being hit by train

An employee of Jiban Bima Corporation died after being hit by a train in Khilgaon area of capital Dhaka on Tuesday afternoon.

Deceased Saidul Alam, 55, worked at the head office of Jiban Bima Corporation at Motijheel in the capital. Hailed from Sikra village under Damudda Police Station in Shariatpur, he lived in a rented house in Bongram area of Dakshin Keraniganj in Dhaka district.

Saidul's son Ashiqur Alam told Jago News a train hit his father in Bottala area around 12:30 pm when he was crossing the rail track, leaving him seriously injured.

He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the on-duty doctors declared him dead.

DMCH Police Camp in-charge (inspector) Md Bachchu Mia said the body was kept at morgue and the railway police station concerned was informed about the incident.
