47 hospitalized with dengue fever in 24 hrs

Some 47 people with dengue fever were admitted to different hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka in the last 24 hours until Saturday morning.

With this, a total of 338 patients diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals.

Of them, 161 are being treated at the facilities of Dhaka while 177 are in other divisions, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said today.  

As per the release, a total of 62,382 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year. 

To date, 281 people died of dengue during the period while 61,763 out of the hospitalized patients recovered.
