Two killed, 15 injured as bus hits tree

Two people were killed and at least 15 others injured as a bus hit a roadside tree in Faridpur district on Thursday afternoon.

Among the deceased, one was identified as Md Shahinur, 30, but his detailed identity could not be known yet.

Kotwali Police Station officer in-charge Abdul Jalil told Jago News the driver of a bus of 'Shohag Paribahan' lost control over steering as its tyre burst and hit a roadside tree near Dhuldi rail gate on the Dhaka-Faridpur Highway around 2 pm, leaving several injured.

Later, the injured were rushed to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College (BSMMC) Hospital where the on-duty doctors declared two dead.
