Another police official sent on compulsory retirement

The government has sent another police official on compulsory retirement.

Public Security Division under the Home Ministry issued a notification in this regard on Tuesday.

According to the notification, Md Munir Hossain, a special superintendent of police of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Bangladesh Police, was sent on compulsory retirement in the public interest as per section 45 of the Public Service Act, 2018.

Munir Hossain was officer on special duty (OSD) since February 19, 2011.

Earlier on November 16, the government sent commander of Khulna 3rd APBn Md Ali Hossain Fakir on early retirement.

On October 31, two officers of the rank of additional deputy inspector general were sent on forced retirement. They are additional DIG Md Mahbub Hakim (Tourist Police) and additional DIG Md Alamgir Alam (CID).

On October 18, three superintendents of police- Delwar Hossain Mia and Mirza Abdullahel Baqui of CID, and Shahidullah Chowdhury of the Police Headquarters- were sent on forced retirement.

On October 16, the government sent Information Secretary Mokbul Hossain on compulsory retirement.
