2 youths killed as motorcycles collide in Lakshmipur

Two youths were killed after two motorcycles collided at Hossain Market area under Charmoragacha union in Ramgati upazila of Lakshmipur early Tuesday. 

The deceased were identified as Md Alauddin, 25, son of Sahab Uddin, of Charporagacha village and Ali Akbar, 27, son of Nurul Islam, of Charalgi village in Ramgati upazila. 

Locals said, the accident took place when two speedy motorcycles collided head on around 6am, leaving the two critically injured. Later, they were recovered and sent to upazila health complex. From there, they were transferred to Noakhali General Hospital where the duo died around 11am.

Confirming the matter to Jago News, Alamgir Hossain, Officer-in-charge of Ramgati Police Station, said police were sent to the spot. Next step will be taken after talking with the relatives of the deceased.
