Jatri Kalyan Samity seeks 50% cut in metro rail fares

Jatri Kalyan Samity, a passengers' welfare platform, has demanded the government reduce the metro rail fares by 50 percent per kilometer.
The association made the demand in a press conference at Dhaka Reporters Unity at Segunbagicha in capital Dhaka on Saturday.
The government fixed the minimum fare at Tk 20 and the maximum fare at Tk 100 for metro rail in the capital.
