3 killed as bus hits auto-rickshaw in Gaibandha

Three people were killed when a bus hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw on Gaibandha-Palashbari road at Sakua Majhipara area in Palashbari of Gaibandha on Thursday morning. 

The deceased were identified as Shamim, 30, of Durgapur village in Gaibandha Sadar upazila, Shimu Sarker, 24, and Shakil Miah, 35, of Panchbibi upazila in Joypurhat. They were the passengers of the auto-rickshaw.

Masud Rana, Officer-in-charge of Palashbari Police Station, confirmed the matter to Jago News.

He said, the bus hit the auto-rickshaw in the area around 7am, leaving three people dead on the spot. 

Moshiur Rahman, In-charge of Palashbari Fire Service, said being informed, the three bodies were recovered from the spot.
