Three dengue patients die; 410 hospitalized in 24 hrs

Three dengue patients died and 410 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours until Sunday morning.

With the latest death, a total of 257 people died of dengue to date, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said.

Currently, 1,463 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka. 

Of them, 841 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 622 are in other divisions.   

As many as 58,619 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.

Some 56,899 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
