351 hospitalized with dengue fever in 24 hrs

Some 351 people with dengue fever were admitted to different hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka in the last 24 hours until Saturday morning.

With this, a total of 1,710 patients diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals.

Of them, 933 are being treated at the facilities of Dhaka while 777 are in other divisions, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said today.  

As per the release, a total of 58,209 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year. 

To date, 254 people died of dengue during the period while 56,245 out of the hospitalized patients recovered.
