380 hospitalized with dengue fever in 24 hrs

Some 380 people with dengue fever were admitted to different hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka in the last 24 hours until Thursday morning.

With this, a total of 1,744 patients diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals.

Of them, 981 are being treated at the facilities of Dhaka while 763 are in other divisions, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said today.  

As per the release, a total of 57,738 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year. 

To date, 254 people died of dengue during the period while 55,740 out of the hospitalized patients recovered.
