3 suspected ‘militants’ held in Old Dhaka

Detectives arrested three suspected members of banned militants outfit Harkat-ul-Jihad-al-Islami (Huji) from Kotowali thana area in Old Dhaka on Friday night.  

One of the arrested person was identified as Mawlana Nazim Uddin, president of its Dhaka North unit.

Tipped off, a team of Detective Branch (DB) conducted a drive in the area and arrested them, said Masudur Rahman, deputy commissioner (media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
