Three dengue patients die; 523 hospitalized in 24 hrs

Three dengue patients died and 523 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours until Sunday morning.

With the latest death, a total of 247 people died of dengue to date, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said.

Currently, 1,929 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka. 

Of them, 1,129 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 800 are in other divisions.   

As many as 56,130 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.

Some 53,954 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
