SI killed in Narsingdi road crash

A sub-inspector of police was killed in a road accident in Shibpur upazila of Narsingdi on Saturday morning.
Deceased Md Sabuj Mia, 32, worked at Demra Police Station, Dhaka as a sub-inspector.
The police station SI Mohammad Faruque Molla said a speeding vehicle hit Sabuj's motorcycle in front of Amtola Jute Mill when he was going to his hometown Narsingdi, leaving him seriously injured.
Later, he was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the on-duty doctors declared him dead, the officer said.
