Govt sends another SP on compulsory retirement

The government has sent an official of the rank of superintendent of police (SP) on compulsory retirement.

Public Security Division under the Home Ministry issued a notification in this regard on Wednesday.

Being ordered by President, the Senior Secretary of the division Md Aminul Islam Khan signed the notice. 

According to the notification, the commander of Khulna 3rd APBn Md Ali Hossain Fakir (now attached in Rajshahi Range DIG office) was sent on compulsory retirement as per section 45 of the Public Service Act, 2018.

The order issued in the public interest will come into force immediately, the notification said.

Apart from serving at Dhaka Metropolitan Police, Ali Hossain, a 15th batch officer of the BCS police cadre, performed duties as superintendent of Netrakona, Feni, and Magura district police.

Earlier on October 18, the government sent three superintendents of police- Delwar Hossain Mia and Mirza Abdullahel Baqui of the police's Criminal Investigation Department, and Shahidullah Chowdhury of the Police Headquarters- on early retirement.

On October 31, two officers of the rank of additional deputy inspector general were sent on forced retirement. They are additional DIG Md Mahbub Hakim (Tourist Police) and additional DIG Md Alamgir Alam (CID).  

On October 16, the government sent Information Secretary Mokbul Hossain on compulsory retirement.
