Tripartite road crash kills 3 in Narsingdi

At least three people were killed and nine others injured in a collision between multiple vehicles on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway at Raipura upazila in Narsingdi early Tuesday, reports BSS.

The victims were identified as Sananda Das, 55, son of Dhananjay Das of Dighirpara village, Md Renu Mia, 66, son of Ismail Mia and Md Kamal Mia, 35, son of Kalam Mia of Chouragudha village in Sorail upazila of Brahmanbaria.

According to Bhairab Highway Police sources, the accident occurred around 3:45 am, when a Bhairab bound passenger bus hit another bus, which was parked beside the road, from behind and it collided with a speeding fish-loaded pick up.

Two people died on the spot and ten were injured.

Severely injured Md Kamal Mia died on his way to Dhaka for better treatment, Police said.

Bhairab Highway Thana OC Md Mozammel Haque told BSS that the bodies were kept at the Thana for identification and will be sent to Narsingdi Zila Hospital morgue for autopsy.
