Three dengue patients die; 859 hospitalized in 24 hrs

Three dengue patients died and 859 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours until Sunday morning.

With the latest death, a total of 202 people died of dengue to date, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said.

Currently, 3,189 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka. 

Of them, 1,885 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 1,304 are in other divisions.   

As many as 48,529 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year. 

Some 45,138 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
