Couple's hanging bodies recovered in Sylhet

Police recovered the hanging bodies of a couple from their rented house in Sylhet city on Sunday morning.

The deceased were Ripon Das, 28, son of Subhas Das, a resident of Razabaz village in Jamalganj upazila of the district and his wife Shipa Talukder, 25. They have a one-year-old girl.

Being informed by locals, police recovered the couple's hanging bodies from two separate rooms in their house in Pathantula area around 11 am.

Jalalabad Police Station officer in-charge Nazmul Huda Khan said police primarily assume the incident might have taken place over family conflict.

The bodies were, however, sent to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital morgue, he added.
