Three dengue patients die; 899 hospitalized in 24 hrs

Three dengue patients died and 899 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours until Thursday morning.

With the latest death, a total of 123 people died of dengue to date, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said.

Currently, 3,480 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka. 

Of them, 2,250 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 1,230 are in other divisions.   

As many as 34,822 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year. 

Some 31,219 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
