Two dengue patients die; 923 hospitalized in 24 hrs

Two dengue patients died and 923 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours until Wednesday morning.

With the latest death, a total of 120 people died of dengue to date, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said.

Currently, 3,380 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka. 

Of them, 2,207 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 1,173 are in other divisions.   

As many as 33,923 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year. 

Some 30,423 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
