Bullet fired from Myanmar land in Bangladesh
A bullet fired from Myanmar landed inside Bangladesh territory in Bandarban's Naikhongchhari upazila on Saturday afternoon.
Md Imran, the chairman of Dochhari union parishad under the upazila, confirmed the matter.
He said heavy firing was taking place inside Myanmar territory near 49 and 50 No. pillars from Friday night.
And a bullet fell in Lemuchhari Bahirmath area under the union around 1 pm today, leaving locals scared, he added.
Nurul Absar, the chairman of Sadar union under the upazila, said sounds of severe gunshots are coming from Myanmar against Sadar union's Bhalluka Khaiya area, and Dochhari union.
Besides, locals informed that a bullet landed in Lemuchhara area and the Bangladeshi people living in the border area are leaving the locality in fear, he said.
