Four dengue patients die; 896 hospitalized in 24 hrs

Four dengue patients died and 896 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours until Thursday morning.

With the latest death, a total of 110 people died of dengue to date, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said.

Currently, 3,174 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka. 

Of them, 2,159 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 1,015 are in other divisions.   

As many as 28,698 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year. 

Some 25,414 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
