Three dengue patients die; 900 hospitalized in 24 hrs

Three dengue patients died and 900 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours until Tuesday morning.

With the latest death, a total of 99 people died of dengue to date, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said.

Currently, 3,227 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka. 

Of them, 2,148 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 1079 are in other divisions.   

As many as 26,938 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year. 

Some 23,612 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
