Sexagenarian killed over land dispute

A man was killed in Shyamnagar upazila of Satkhira district on Saturday morning over a land dispute.

Deceased Abdur Razzaque Gazi, 65, was a resident of Hatchhala village in the upazila.

Police and local sources said Abdur Razzaque and Md Oliullah Tarafder, also a resident of the village had long been at loggerheads over the homestead boundary.

In continuation, the men of both parties clashed this morning, leaving Abdur Razzaque injured.

He was rushed to Shyamnagar Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctors declared him dead.
