Three dengue patients die; 712 hospitalized in 24 hrs

Three dengue patients died and 712 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours until Saturday morning.

With the latest death, a total of 67 people died of dengue to date, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said.

Currently, 2,416 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka. 

Of them, 1,838 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 578 are in other divisions.   

As many as 20,235 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year. 

Some 17,752 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
