438 hospitalized with dengue fever in 24 hrs

Some 438 people with dengue fever were admitted to different hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka in the last 24 hours until Tuesday morning.

With this, a total of 1,560 patients diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals.

Of them, 1,191 are being treated at the facilities of Dhaka while 369 are in other divisions, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said today.  

As per the release, a total of 12,007 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year. 

To date, 45 people died of dengue during the period while 10,402 out of the hospitalized patients recovered.
