M'singh-Ctg rail link restored

Mymensingh's rail communication with Chattogram and Netrakona districts was restored on Sunday afternoon around three hours after suspension. 

The disrupted communication became normal around 12:15, Mymensingh Railway Police Station sub-inspector Mirza Mohammad Mukta confirmed to Jago News.

Earlier at about 9:15 am, the wheel of a goods-laden boogie of Chattogram-bound 'Nasirabad Express' train veered off the rail track Shamvuganj area, halting the train link of Mymensingh with Chattogram, Netrakona, and Jaria, Netrakona. 

As a result of the disruption, Dhaka-bound 'Haor Express' train was stuck at Shyamganj, and Jaria-bound 'Balaka Express' stranded at Mymensingh Railway Station.
