One dengue patient dies; 360 hospitalized in 24 hrs

One dengue patient died and 360 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours until Sunday morning.

With the latest death, a total of 33 people died of dengue to date, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said.

Currently, 1,128 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka. 

Of them, 893 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 235 are in other divisions.   

As many as 8,750 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year. 

Some 7,589 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
