Student killed in Tejgaon road accident

A student was killed after being hit by an unidentified speedy car when he was crossing the road to go to his institution at Tibbat area in the capital’s Tejgaon around 7am on Sunday. 

The deceased was identified as Ali Hossain, 17, of Krishnapur village at Muladi upazila in Barishal. 

He was a tenth grader of Tejgaon Govt. Science College Attached High School. He used to live with his family in Tejgaon’s Kunipara area. 

Ali’s uncle Amanullah said Ali was first taken to a local hospital and then to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where the on-duty doctor declared him dead around 8:30am. 

Inspector Md Bachchu Miah, In-charge of DMCH police camp, said the dead body was kept at DMCH’s morgue for autopsy. The concerned police station was informed about the matter.
