Sajeda Chowdhury admitted to hospital

Deputy leader of the Jatiya Sangsad Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury has been admitted to a hospital in the capital of Dhaka following she had become critically ill.

The information was given in a letter signed by Faridpur district unit Awami League president Shamim Haque and general secretary Shah Md Ishtiaq Arif on Friday.

The letter said former AL general secretary, a lawmaker from Faridpur-2 constituency and deputy leader of the Jatiya Sangsad Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury is seriously ill and undergoing treatment at a hospital in the capital.

The council of Nagarkanda upazila unit AL scheduled to be held on September 12 was suspended consulting with AL central leaders due to the sickness of Sajeda Chowdhury.
