Three dengue patients die; 208 hospitalized in 24 hrs

Three dengue patients died and 208 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours until Monday morning.

With the latest death, a total of 26 people died of dengue to date, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said.

Currently, 806 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka. 

Of them, 674 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 132 are in other divisions.   

As many as 7,113 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year. 

Some 6,281 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
