BRAC student Sanjana’s ‘suicide’: Father arrested from M’singh

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested Shaheen Alam in connection with the alleged suicide of his 21-year-old daughter Sanjana Mosaddika, who on a suicide note blamed her father of being “abusive and a rapist”.

He was arrested from Gafargaon in Mymensingh on Wednesday noon.

ASP Al Amin, Assistant Director of RAB’s Legal and Media Wing, confirmed the matter to Jago News.

On Saturday noon, Sanjana allegedly committed suicide by jumping off their 10-storied building’s rooftop at Dakkshinkhan’s Mollarhat area. Police recovered the body from the spot around 7pm.

Later, her mother filed a case against her father. Sanjana’s father went into hiding after her death.
