Home Minister, IGP arrive in New York to join UNCOPS

Home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal and the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Benazir Ahmed have arrived in New York to attend the United Nations Chiefs of Police Summit (UNCOPS 2022). 

Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to the UN Mohammad Abdul Muhith confirmed the matter in a Twitter massage at 2:26am on Tuesday (Bangladesh time).

The UNCOPS 2020 is set to take place from August 31 to September 1 at UN headquarters.

A six-member delegation from Bangladesh headed by Home Minister, IGP, Joint Secretary of Public Security Department of Home Ministry Abu Hena Mostafa Zaman, Secretary to Home Minister Asaduzzaman, Additional Inspector General of Police Nashian Wazed and Assistant Inspector General of Police Masood Alam will attend the program.
