Writ seeks fair management of seized vehicles at police stations

A writ petition has been filed with the High Court (HC) seeking fair management of the seized vehicles at the country's police stations or courts.

On behalf of five Supreme Court lawyers, advocate Mohammad Shishir Manir filed the writ petition in the HC branch concerned on Sunday.

The five lawyers are Mohammad Noab Ali, Md Muzahedul Islam, Mostafizur Rahman, GM Muzahidur Rahman, and Imrul Kayes.

The secretary to the Ministry of Home Affairs, the inspector general of police (IGP), and the commissioner of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) have been made respondents to the writ.
