Jatri Kalyan Samity demands withdrawal of increased fuel prices

Jatri Kalyan Samity, a passengers' welfare platform, has demanded the government withdraw the decision to increase the prices of fuel oil.

The organization made the demand in a demonstration rally and human chain program in front of Jatiya Press Club on Saturday.

It also urged the government to maintain the previous prices of energy.

Earlier on Friday night, the Ministry of Power, Energy, and Mineral Resources raised the prices of fuel oil citing an increase in the international market.

The ministry increased prices of diesel, and kerosene by Tk 34 to 114 per liter respectively, octane by 46 to 135 per liter and petrol by 44 to 130 per liter.
