Two killed in Mirpur road accident

Two people were killed and several others injured as a bus hit a human hauler (locally known as laguna) at Mirpur in the capital of Dhaka on Sunday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Md Robiul Islam Rubel, 38, hailed from East Filipnagar village under Daulatpur Police Station in Kushtia district, and Md Zubayer Hossain, 45. 

Of them, Zubayer died on the spot while Rubel at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

The incident took place in Shah Ali Beribadh area around 12:30 pm.

DMCH Police Outpost Camp in-charge (inspector) Md Bachchu Mia confirming the matter.

He said two injured in the accident were brought to the hospital where one named Rubel succumbed to his injuries and another named Milon Gazi was receiving treatment.

Rubel, the father of two daughters and a son, lived in Mirpur 14 of Dhaka, his younger brother Md Chhoton said.
