BMW confiscated from Mirpur

The Customs Intelligence and Investigation department seized a BMW car from city’s Mirpur area on Tuesday morning.

Director General of customs intelligence and investigation department Maynul Khan confirmed the matter by saying the car was seized from house 16/1 of Mirpur’s Darus Salam area.

However, the owner of the car could not be arrested. The car is worth Tk 3 crore with tax.

The car was registered as having 2500cc cylinder capacity; but its actual cylinder capacity is 3000cc. The car’s chassis number was replaced with a fake one as well.

Intelligence officials said a case will be filed in this connection and they are looking for the car owner.
