Training helicopter makes emergency landing in Nawabganj

A training helicopter of Bell-206 model of Bangladesh Army made an emergency landing in Nawabganj upazila of Dhaka district on Wednesday afternoon.
The aircraft made an emergency landing in a waterbody around 1 pm due to a technical glitch, the Inter-Service Public Relations Directorate (ISPR) said.
Later, two pilots of the chopper - lieutenant colonel Ismail and major Shams - were rescued and airlifted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Dhaka. They are now out of danger, ISPR said.
Local police were guarding the helicopter, and safety and rescue teams from Postogola and Mawa Cantonments went to the spot.
