Five killed in Barishal road crash

Five people were killed and 10 others injured as a bus rammed a microbus in Wazirpur upazila of Barishal district on Thursday. 

The deceased were Ruhul Amin, 45, Abdur Rahman, 46, Md Hasan, 36, Nurul Amin, 47, and Shahidul Islam, 40. They all were passengers of the microbus.

Wazirpur Police Station inspector (investigation) Md Momin said a bus of 'Molla Travels' hit a microbus in Natun Shikarpur area around 12 noon, leaving one dead on the spot and several others hurt.

The injured were rushed to Wazirpur Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctor declared three dead, he said.

Out of the rest injured, six were, later, referred to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital, Barishal where another succumbed to his injuries, the inspector added.
