Newlywed couple found hanging in Naogaon

Police recovered the bodies of a newlywed couple from their bedroom in Atrai upazila of Naogaon district on Wednesday morning.

The deceased were identified as Masum Ali Sarder, 21, son of Saiful Sarder, a resident of Sudrana village in the upazila, and his wife Lima Khatun, 19.

Atrai Police Station officer in-charge Tarequr Rahman told Jago News that family members found hanging Masum and Lima in their bedroom and informed the police.

Later, police recovered the bodies around 11 am and sent these to Naogaon Sadar Hospital morgue, he said.

An unnatural death case was filed in this connection, OC Tareq said, adding that they primarily assume the couple might commit suicide.
