3-fake DB men held in city

Police on Wednesday arrested three fake members of Detective Branch (DB) of police from the city`s Jatrabari area.

"We arrested the trio, Hafizur Rahman, Monir Hossain and Pikul Shaikh from Shanirakhra and Rayerbagh areas under Jatrabari Police Station while they were taking preparations to commit robbery identifying them as members of DB," said a police official.

An X corolla private car and a walky-talky were seized from their possession, he also said.

During primary interrogation, they confessed their link to commit robbery after identifying them as DB personnel at Dhaka and its adjoining areas, he added.

A case was lodged to this end.
