Three killed as bus rams auto-rickshaw

Three people were killed and another was injured as a bus rammed a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Habiganj district on Saturday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Bokul Begum, 50, wife of late Abul Mia, resident of Betapur village, his nephew Zabedur Rahman, 38, and Robban Mia, 48, of Daulatpur village in Nabiganj upazila.

Sherpur Highway Police Station officer in-charge Porimol Deb said a bus of 'Mitali Paribahan' hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in front of Rostompur toll plaza on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway, leaving one dead on the spot and two injured.

The injured were rushed to Nabiganj Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctor declared another dead, the OC said.
